Motion to Compel

This is a motion asking the court to order another party (opposing or third) to take an action. It is essentially filed to demand that all relevant information be shared with the opposing side. For example, if the defendant feels that they have not been given sufficient answers to their interrogatories or other discovery requests, his attorneys may ask to see everything that the DA “has on him/her.”
